College of Engineering celebrated Founder’s Day on 17th May 2013, the 86th
birth anniversary of Dr. M. V. Jayaraman (1928-1993), the legendary founder of MVJ College of Engineering.
Shri
M.J. Balachandar, Chairman, MVJ College of Engineering and the Principal Dr.
K.S. Badarinarayan welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. B.V Sreekantan, Professor,
National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore. The Principal, Dr. K. S.
Badarinarayan addressed the distinguished gathering and shared a short movie on
the Biography and the Achievements of Dr. M.V.Jayaraman who started MVJ College
of Engineering in the year 1982.
As a part of cultural programme, Carnatic Music concert was
organized. Renowned artist Smt. P.Ramaa
and her group gave the concert on this auspicious occasion.
Management of MVJCE felicitated more than 400 faculty members, staff
members and students with Certificate of Excellence and cash awards for their
contribution towards academic excellence and co-curricular achievements.
Also, MVJCE awarded a cash reward of Rs. 1,00,000/- &
Rs.50,000/- to the UG & PG VTU Rank holders respectively.
